How we protect student information
Document Index
1. Introduction
Welcome to Black Box Academy. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy details how we handle, store, and safeguard your credentials when you enroll in our advanced CGI, Visual Effects, and game development cohorts, visit our physical workstation labs, or interact with our digital studio platform.
2. Information We Collect
We collect several types of information from and about our students and website visitors, including: identity data (name, surname, age, portfolio reels), contact credentials (email address, mobile phone number), technical specs (IP addresses, cookie logs via browser sessions), and workstation telemetry (general license caches or render core hours allocated inside our classroom desks).
3. How We Use Your Information
Your collected data is deployed strictly to: facilitate cohort admissions reviews, allocate custom student workstation profiles, track render farm usage nodes, coordinate 1-on-1 industry critiques, dispatch official educational materials, and audit student placement outcomes with local and international Visual Effects partners.
4. Security and Farm Storage
We implement industry-grade security protocols. Physical classroom workstations are kept secure behind local firewalls. Personal data and digital portfolio assets are stored on secure local servers in Kathmandu and encrypted cloud instances. We do not share, sell, or rent your personal credentials to third-party marketing companies.
5. Your Access and Choice Rights
Students have the absolute right to: request access to their active student profile database, request structural correction of contact information, ask for complete erasure of their local digital database records, or request complete physical backups of their portfolio work turnarounds.
